A Children’s Hearing will be arranged by the Children’s Reporter if they have deemed it necessary for the purpose of imposing a compulsory supervision order in respect of a child. The hearing may or may not impose such an order. Young people can be referred to the Children’s reporter for a variety of reasons, some of which relate to protecting a child’s health and well being from a number of potential risks or if a child has committed a crime, consumed alcohol, taken drugs or failed to attend school without reasonable excuse. This can be a confusing time and our specialist Children’s Hearings Lawyers in Paisley are on hand to advise and represent you at the hearing. It is important that you contact us as soon as you or your parent or guardian has received a letter regarding your hearing. We will arrange a free consultation with you to explain both the grounds for your referral and the process.
